Fraud

For the University, fraud is any behavior aimed at inducing to or keeping any University  professor, evaluator or academic authority  in error regarding the performance of an academic activity,  its authorship,  or  the circumstances in which it was committed.

It is important to keep  in mind that what is punishable about fraud is that with said behavior the student affects his education, ignoring his obligation of acting in an honest, responsible manner. Hence, even if such behaviour does not change the student work results, the offense was committed.

One of the most common fraud practices among students is plagiarism.  As a preventative measure, there is a publication that addresses the need of providing students with  tools to document their works, thus helping them to prevent methodological errors likely to translate into disciplinary offenses.
