Student Guide - First Semester

One of the main objectives of the Universidad de Los Andes is contributing to the preparation of autonomous students who are able to make decisions in an independent, responsible manner.

During this decision making process, it is important to be well informed.  The First Semester Uniandino Guide offers relevant information, so that upfront students become familiarized with the University´s academic processes and adapt themselves, the best way possible, to the university life they are now commencing.

This publication provides useful information that will guide students as of the moment they decide to study at the Universidad de Los Andes, going through the registration process, taking the tests before classes begin (English, Math), choosing and signing up for first semester courses, language requirements, Spanish language, and courses included in the Basic Uniandino Cycle (CBU for the Spanish), which must be kept in mind from the beginning of the student´s career.  It also includes important dates such as: registration, welcoming day, beginning of classes, last date to withdraw courses, last day of classes, evaluations, etc.
