Within the horizon of reflection on the relations taking place between Justice and memory, that permitted the awakening of a new humanitarian conscience in the aftermath of the Second World War, the main purpose of this course is to show the most significant processes and decisions of the so called transitional justice as the privileged object of the battles waged in memory. The objective is to provide the students with criteria for analysis and historical examples, enhancing their understanding on the role of justice in the construction processes of collective memory.

As the name implies, the goal of this course is to have the student develop a research experience, after presenting a research design as the first step of the workshop, the students are expected to put into practice the skills gained in the previous course, by making that design a reality. Likewise, the course will reinforce the knowledge acquired while offering new learning within the field of methodology. The knowledge has to do, especially, with the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data.
