IELE-4310 Discrete Events Dynamic System

Computer, telecommunications and sensor technology evolution has led to the emergence of new complex and highly technological systems. Generally speaking, networks, telecommunications systems, automated industrial processes, traffic control systems, diagnose and monitoring systems in extensive areas, logistics systems, etc, are examples of this type of systems. In such systems, the activity is governed by concurrent operational sequences designed by humans, which react to the asynchronous occurrence of discrete events. The purpose of the course is to conduct a unified introduction to the area of Dynamic Systems - Discrete Events as the basis for advanced courses in the Electrical, Electronic, Industrial and Mechanical Engineering masters degree program.
