IIND-4108 Operations Research Applications

This course seeks to explain some applications related to mathematical Operations Research models. As pre-requisites, the course requires students to take optimization, probability and / or probabilistic courses and to have appropriate management of computer tools, such as general programming languages (C++, JAVA, Visual-Basic) and specialized languages for optimization problem solving (Xpress-MP, GAMS, AMPL).   The course is divided in six modules: Plant Setup [FT], Colombian Industry Operations Research Applications [JFT], Vehicle Routing [CP], Operations Scheduling (Scheduling) [GM], Hospital Logistics [NV] y Decision-Making Models [CB].
