The purpose of this course is to know and understand the paradigms through which we study the culturalization of relationships of power, which is the core of our program. It examines the social processes through which relations of power take shape and become culturally evident.

This course explores the theories of the construction of the subject. There is a particular emphasis on the processes of differentiation of subjectivities and their multiple positions. It examines the dynamics that lead to the production of identities and those that govern them, classify and normalize.

The objective of this course is to study the different views and versions that make up the field of Cultural Studies in Latin America. It points out the need to rethink the notion of "Latin America" based on the paradigms of Cultural Studies.

The objective of this seminar is to provide a space for students to review the diverse methodological possibilities offered by the field of Cultural Studies. The seminar aims to go over the epistemological and operative fundamentals of some of the most relevant (qualitative and quantitative) methodologies in Social Sciences. Special emphasis will be placed on discourse analysis methodologies and where they are located in comparison with the rest of the methodologies used in social analysis. Similarly, the seminar gives students the chance to start to choose their topic, research problem and the method on which they will base their Master´s thesis.

The main purpose of this tutorial seminar is to provide a space for students to start to work on their Master’s thesis. Based on a relationship of personalized supervision with the thesis director, students receive constant feedback.
