MEDI-3101 Internal Medicine
Eight-week internal medicine course including theory and practice designed for seventh semester medical students. The program for this course follows the guidelines for the internal medicine program for medical students at the University of Pennsylvania and is in line with the recommendations of the Core Medicine Clerkship Curriculum Guide by the CDIM/SGIM (Clerkship Directors Internal Medicine). The course builds on the physiopathological base of the systems and illnesses learned in Organ Systems I, II, III and teaches the principles for the practice of general internal medicine, the preparation of differential diagnoses, their study, and therapeutic principles. This objective is met through supervised clinical practice, class sessions, case studies, and individual learning.
