MEDI-3301 Gynecology and Obstetrics
The core curriculum for Gynecology and Obstetrics is covered by Problem Based Learning (PBL), Case Management Conferences, and interactive lectures. For the PBLs and case conferences, clinical situations have been chosen to stimulate discussion about the important factors that surround each case and to promote synthesis of the information, decision-making, and problem solving. The students are expected to investigate clinical problems ahead of time for the PBL so that they will be ready to participate. There are some topics for which you will be responsible and that have to do with self-study methods (seen further on in the study plan). The clinical practice will be carried out in the Internship Center (Centro de Prácticas), Fundación Santa fe de Bogotá, and Hospital de Suba.
