MEDI-3807 Medical Ethics and Professionalism I
Human rights and health are closely related in a complex way, and their association has direct implications on the practice of medicine. This course will introduce medical students to the topic of human rights, health, ethics and professionalism with an emphasis on the Colombian context and through a review of theoretical concepts and concrete cases. The students will gain basic tools to apply a human rights perspective to understanding different health-related issues. Because of the complexity and diversity of the topic of study, the course will be taught by an interdisciplinary team.
