A foundation for analysis (a structure of thought), both historical and functional, with respect to leadership abilities is sought here and which a person with executive or leadership responsibilities must currently have. Emphasis is made on models of thinking and mental schemes which condition the conduct of individuals and on the need to acknowledge the complexity from which today’s organizations operate. These courses highlight, both in a hands-on as well as conceptual manner, certain key aspects of four of the abilities required in a manager: critical thinking, ability to negotiate, creativity and leadership.
