Design Option
Description
This option is meant to familiarize students from other disciplines with the basic notions and fundamentals of the disciplines of design.
Objectives
Provide students with the basic tools and methodologies in design to expand their professional knowledge through exercises that explore and develop the creativity in different topics relating to communication, materials and processes and human factors involved in the development of products.
Program Structure
The option consists of 16 credits, divided into 3 mandatory courses (10 credits) and two elective courses (6 credits). Students will receive a DESIGN OPTION certificate, which will be given out once they complete the requirements of their undergraduate program.
