The objective of this course is to develop student´s skills to explore the Business Intelligence potential from the business strategic perspective, specially CRM, understand how data warehouses, multidimensional analysis and data mining contribute to the company´s strategy, understand the main tasks associated with the development of a data warehouse and its precedence, explore the decision support systems and the data analysis quantitative model and their use with modern knowledge discovery from databases (KDD Knowledge Discovery in Databases) to partially or totally settle business problems, offer practical experience with the Data Base and Business Intelligence technology infrastructure available at the university (XL MINER, SAS ENTERPRISE MINER), and provide an overview on Knowledge Management concepts.
