MEDI-2406 Medical Genetics
This course presents a general view of human genetics: Mendelian inheritance in human beings, chromosomal and genetic mutation, variation in gene expression, biochemical genetics, and the in-depth study of the following specific topics: mutagens and carcinogens, susceptibility to diseases, pharmacogenetics, molecular epidemiology and population genetics. The course also discusses topics such as ethics in genetic applications.
