Objectives

The Executive MBA of the Universidad de los Andes improves the student's strategic competences in terms of leadership, entrepreneurial awareness, global orientation and social responsibility to lead organizations towards higher levels of competitiveness and development, through challenging managerial practices.

The program is structured around four basic threads throughout each phase:

  1. Strategic thinking and strategy;
  2. International Business;
  3. Social responsibility and background; and
  4. Leadership, effective management and change management.

Thus, the education given to the students is founded on the technical instruments, values and skills of genuine UniAndes Executive MBA leaders.

Study Plan

Participants cover three large phases throughout the program: managerial analysis; strategic planning and implementation; and managerial challenges and horizons.

The content of the program consists of an analytical network developed within the following conductor threads:

Strategic thinking and strategy

The objective is to provide students with the knowledge needed to move from strategic analysis to implementation, that is, the financial dimension and the definition of a strategic direction and corporate governance.

International Business

As economies are wide open to the global competition, the international dimension affects all the areas within the company. Based on the foregoing, the student will analyze topics ranging from marketing to technology, as well as better use of international financial markets.

Social Responsibility and Background

The enrepreneor actions are not translated simply into profit generation, rather they have an impact over the millieu and life of consumers, workers and public investors. Thanks to this approach, the participant clearly and basically understands the relationship between the company and the social stakeholders that have an influence on the company's future.

Leadership, effective management and management of change

Being able to change different situations in yoir company is what determines the quality of a businessman. Based on this statement, participants develop these skills and learn to apply their knowledge to foster and implement positive changes in their companies.

Areas of Research or Concentration

In the Executive MBA, participants advance through three phases: Management Analysis, Strategic Formulation and Implementation, and Management Challenges and Horizons, which cover basic management issues. Over this time, the program follows 4 basic conductor threads:
