Objectives

The objective of the Doctoral Program in Psychology of Universidad de los Andes is to develop students' competences to formulate, conduct and direct research in an autonomous way, to produce original knowledge, and to participate fully in the typical practices of academic communities. The Doctoral Program is conceived based on the premise that advanced education in a specific area is the result of student participation in different educational contexts, which contribute to the development of advanced research competences.

The Doctoral Program in Psychology comprises scenarios that allow students to: a) learn fundamental epistemic practices of the area; b) gain knowledge about important recent developments in the area; c) make contact with associated areas and knowledge; d) participate in socialization and interaction opportunities, and e) participate in joint research practices.
