LENG 3159 Creative Writing Flash Fiction
The Creative Writing in Fiction Seminar is designed to facilitate the creative writing process through thoughtful examination of how writers write and what writers write, and through extensive creative production. Since the first step to writing creatively is knowing where creativity comes from and how to manage such creativity, students will examine various established writers’ philosophies towards writing. In turn, students will begin to foster their own creativity and form productive writing habits. Through extensive reading of creative works in fiction, students will learn to recognize literary and rhetorical devices, evaluate their efficacy, and use said elements in their own creative texts.
