LENG 1130 Writing for Business Communication
This English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course allows students to engage with, analyze and produce different written genres commonly used within the field of international accounting, namely professional correspondence, executive reports, contracts, resumes, cover letters and academic research. It will introduce students to the rhetorical conventions and functional language found within these genres as well as focus on the organization, clarity, cohesion and presentation of their ideas. The aim of this course is to equip students with writing and language learning skills and resources which can be directly applied to their field and aid them in their future English writing.
