ARQU 3253 European Contemporary Architecture
This seminar is focussed on architecture and Europe. In times of globalisation and global mobility,
development of technology and migration, it is worth looking on what happens else where.
Europe is a very diverse continent, many countries, many languages, many cultures, but
nevertheless different from the rest of the world, unique as all other regions of the world. To see,
study and understand this diversity through own analisis and through discussions in the seminar
group is the main goal of the seminar.
The relevance for everybodies’ own development as an architect should be clear for every student
after the seminar.
Based on the long history of the continent, the students will focus on different regions, countries,
cities, buildings and architects of the XXI. century.
