BIOL3118 Biología de Anfibios (Inglés)
This course will introduce students to the wonderfulworld ofBatrachology-- the study ofamphibians (including caecilians). We will concentrateon the Lissamphibia, the cladeof extant amphibians comprising three groups: Anura(frogs & toads), Caudata(salamanders), and Gymnophiona (caecilians). We willcover seven fascinating topics inamphibian biology, though there is still much moreto learn. See week-by-weeksyllabus below. The course will concentrate on theprimary literature and take fulladvantage of invited speakers among our main sourcesof information.
