IMEC4223 Renewable Energy Systems
This 2 week condensed course gives an introduction to Wind Energy resources and wind turbine modelling via conventional Linear Momentum Theory, Blade Element Momentum theory and advanced CFD modelling using Reynolds Average Navier Stokes and Large Eddy Simulations. The course is a blend of 13 lectures, 6 tutorial sessions, 3 lab sessions, interactive modelling and short assessments; breakdown of topics is given below.
