IMEC 4224 COMPRESSIBLE FLUID FLOW
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:
- Understand how motion of gases changes thermodynamic properties
- Determine flow properties upstream and downstream of normal shock waves
- Calculate lift and drag on a supersonic airfoil
- Determine flow properties in a shock tube
- Understand how nozzles work and determine supersonic flow properties
- Calculate changes in fluid properties for flows with friction and heat addition
Understand the basics of hypersonic and high temperature flows
