* These three accreditations, also known as the “Triple Crown”, are considered the most important and internationally recognized credentials, placing the Faculty on a par with the most prestigious business schools in the world. The EQUIS and AMBA accreditations have been renewed in accordance with the initially granted terms. The last accreditation renewal was in 2015, AMBA and AACSB were renewed for five years and the last renewal was in 2018, EQUIS for five years.

Perfil-del-Aspirante

The Executive MBA is designed for managers of private, public or third sector organisations, or entrepreneurs who want to revitalise their careers by developing their leadership and management skills and consolidating their network of contacts. Admission requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience from the beginning of your degree (8 years in management positions).
  • Be a professional in any area of knowledge.
  • Sufficient academic skills according to admission exam.

 

Objetivos

The Executive MBA from Universidad de los Andes develops in its participants strategic leadership skills, business sense, global orientation and social responsibility, to lead organizations towards states of greater competitiveness and development, through challenging management practices. The objectives of the program are the following:
  • You will understand how your identity, strengths, and weaknesses (e.g., your personality, motives, purpose, values, and emotions) support your role as a leader and impact your spheres of influence.
  • You will design strategies to mobilize stakeholders and interdisciplinary teams to foster an innovative and responsible mindset.
  • It will evaluate its hypotheses based on criteria of viability and relevance to the organization, its stakeholders and society in general.
  • It will analyze the environment, its sources of uncertainty and its dynamism from an ethical perspective for the sustainable development of society.
  • It will evaluate alternatives and select the one that best meets the situation based on sustainability criteria.
  • You will produce texts that reflect your ideas, considering the audience. 
  • You will develop assertive oral communication strategies in the business area. 
  • You will design relevant/appropriate and viable solutions to complex problems based on multiple worldviews, experiences and knowledge.

 


 
 
 

Study Plan

The program  seeks to promote interdisciplinarity, comprehensive training, and electives. 41% are courses focused on developing core management knowledge; 24% are interdisciplinary courses that connect different areas of management knowledge to compare their scope and limitations; 18% are learning experiences based on problems/projects (we call them Challenges); and 18% are elective courses based on a range of courses and topics that respond to the context and interests of the students.

Each module is designed to ensure a connection between courses and to seek ongoing reflection on student leadership and their role in transforming organizations and the environment.
